Leading black-controlled construction materials group AfriSam, in partnership with a number of its key suppliers, has donated R50 000 to the SOS Children’s Village in Ennerdale, Gauteng. The money will be used to cover the day-to-day necessities of the children living at the village.

This community involvement project was initiated by the company’s Supply Chain department at AfriSam’s Shared Services Centre in Roodepoort. The funds were raised through personal donations, a day/night golfing event at Randpark to which a number of AfriSam’s key suppliers were invited as well as a donation from AfriSam’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
