Child & Youth Development Team
"I support a human kind of professionalism where our hearts and minds are directed towards the best interests of the child. Caring, sharing and celebrating together builds the bonds and human relationships that children and youth need to heal, learn and lead successful lives". (Helmut Kutin, President of SOS-Kinderdorf International)
The Village-based Child and Youth Development Team is led by the Child
and Youth Development Coordinator, and works together towards achieving
the organisations' ten standards for chilcare.

The Child & Youth Development Team members
The Child & Youth Development Team meets with each child and youth, and helps them to compile a Child or Youth Development Plan to guide them in reaching their full potential. This plan is reviewed regularly and adjustments made where necessary. The child or youth is encouraged to be actively involved in compiling their plan, so that they take ownership and see the plan as a relevant and vital part of their development.
