Port Elizabeth Village

Established in 1990, this Village is situated in South Africa's "windy city" of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape province. Home to 118 children, this Village recently celebrated its 19th anniversary.
SOS PE KG Aug 2007 005.jpg Port Elizabeth Village has rented a house outside the Village for its youth girls, to spread their wings and prepare for an independent life. The Village also has a multi-purpose hall which is used for the many extramural activities that the children are involved in. In 2005, the Village celebrated its 14th anniversary in style, with the children and youth showing off their ballroom dancing talents.
Situated in the suburb of Schauderville, the Village has 14 family homes, two youth houses and an SOS Kindergarten. An active Family Strengthening Programme also ensures that the needs of HIV & AIDS affected families in the community are met.
